Frequently asked questions
We realise your first visit to class may be a little daunting.
So here are the answers to some of the questions we get asked. Remember your instructors and Dance Buddies are there to help and hopefully make the classes fun and enjoyable.
What time should we arrive for the first lesson?
Give yourselves plenty of time to find the venue and park. Once you've booked yourself in you'll have the chance to sit and get used to the surroundings and take a look at the beginners pack that you'll be given upon arrival. Remember most others there will also be new to classes so please try not to worry.
What should we wear to lessons?
Ideally you should wear various layers of clothing as you may get hot during the lesson simply because it's all new to you. Men should try not to wear hard formal shoes. Ideally trainers or soft supple shoes that allow your feet to bend easily.
Ladies should try and wear flat pumps with a smooth underside to aide with spinning and tuning. We have ladies pumps in popular sizes available at class, or you can buy them online here
What happens if we can't attend a lesson?
Please don't worry about missing the odd lesson. We always revise the previous weeks moves and we have a little time after class to practice. Your Dance Buddy or instructor will be pleased to help. If you have to miss a lesson, please let us know especially if you are a single student dancing with one of our dance buddies. Our Dance Buddies give their time free of charge to help students at classes, so please don't let them have a waisted trip. Simply complete this quick form to let us know you can't make class as early as possible
Do we need to bring refreshments with us?
We will always have bottled water at class and the popular bowl of sweets. You're welcome to bring your own refreshments if you'd prefer.
