Now they’re back at the ESM Club, and we know exactly what’s coming…

What is a 'Boogie Special' ?
Well, it started as a one-off event in 2023 with the Sweet Georgia Boys who had a 'spare Saturday' and offered their services if I could fit them in somewhere.
That became the first Boogie Special which was at The Cavern Diner. It was a great success and I think it sold out in about two weeks, which was surprising considering it wasn't advertised until about a month before the event date.
We followed that up at The Ex Serviceman’s-Club in Locks Heath with the totally awesome MFC Chicken.
So, a 'Boogie Special' is an impulse booking of a great band that wasn't available for the regular Saturday Specials when booking those dates. Or perhaps it's a band that has only recently become known, as was the case with Chicago 9. Or perhaps a popular band that work better in smaller venues, as most of our Boogie Specials are on a Friday night in place of a Suzie Q's record hop.
So be prepared to be surprised, shocked, but ALWAYS have an amazing time at these surprise events that just 'pop-up' at short notice and are always ticketed with restricted numbers.
